A Decker Hunting Terrier is extremely versatile, and can be very helpful to the duck and goose hunter. They can be taught to retrieve, though, this isn’t as natural for them as traditional retrievers. They have a good nose, and are a great aid in finding downed birds that would otherwise be lost. They have a short coat, so a wetsuit helps keep them comfortable in cold wet weather.
