The Decker Hunting Terrier is one of
the most versatile hunting dogs in existence. This breed likes to hunt
with their hunter, as a companion. They stay close, and regularly check
back with you, so you won’t spend your time hunting your dog instead of
the game you are after. They have a good nose on a hot or warm track, but
are not much of a cold trailer. If an animal recently went by, they will
pick up the track. If it went by several hours earlier, they aren’t as
interested. If they are hunted on a specific game frequently, they will
develop a much more acute nose for the specific quarry they are hunted
on, but they are smart enough to hunt a variety of game. This section has
